Toronto, the capital of the province of Ontario, is a major Canadian city along Lake Ontario’s northwestern shore.   • UP Express Train: A fast and convenient option that takes you directly from the airport to Union Station in downtown Toronto in about 25 minutes. 
  • Airport Shuttle: Various shuttle services operate between the airport and downtown hotels. 
  • Taxi or Rideshare: Taxis and rideshare services are readily available. The ride to downtown typically takes 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. 
  • Car Rental: Available at the airport if you prefer to drive yourself. 
  • Ferry and Shuttle Bus: A short ferry ride connects the airport to the mainland, where you can catch a free shuttle bus to downtown locations. 
  • Taxi or Rideshare: Easily accessible and takes about 10-15 minutes to reach downtown. 

Getting Around in Toronto

Toronto boasts an efficient public transportation system and you can easily get around by subway, streetcar or bus.  

You can purchase a Presto card, which is used for fare payment on all TTC services, or buy single tickets. For real-time updates and route planning, check the TTC website. 

Services like Uber and Lyft are widely available. Traditional taxis can be hailed on the street or booked via phone. Taxi stands are common in busy areas and near major hotels. 

Toronto offers bike-sharing programs like Bike Share Toronto, with stations scattered throughout the city. Cycling is a popular and eco-friendly option for getting around.
